Press to handstand 4 week series – starting Thur July 9 at 5pm EDT

Join us for some self quarantined Handstand training

While we are all practicing social distancing to help prevent the spread of COVID 19, we will be offering online classes to keep you on track for your flexibility goals. We understand that this situation has made it so that some people are financially struggling, while others are still able to continue working. Therefore we are offering these classes on a sliding scale.

Class dates:

  • July 9
  • July 16
  • July 23
  • July 30


For this class you must be able to comfortably hold a 10 sec handstand away from the wall and be experienced at falling out of your handstand. If you’re not sure if you meet these pre-requisites please sign up for the foundations class and ask the instructor at the end of the series if it would be appropriate for you to join advanced.

What will I be learning?

We will be going over a variety of exercises that will help you achieve a press to handstand. It will be broken up into different parts of the press to handstand. By breaking it up we can focus on gaining the strength in each area in a focused manor. Once the strength is there then it is muscular endurance of being able to put all of the pieces together.

  • eccentric exercises
  • patterning
  • using the wall
  • stalder progressions

How it works

Please download zoom and ensure you have a good internet connection before the start time of your scheduled class. Once you’ve registered, you will be added to the list and the instructor will send out an invitation to everyone on the list 1-2 hours before the class. Make sure you have enough space available in the room you will be using so that you won’t be hitting anything.

Class sizes are limited so be sure to register ahead of time as these classes have been selling out.
